Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights advocate, writer, model and actor. The actress is famous for films like Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) as well as The Getaway (1972). Her desire to be an artist was inspired from her childhood as a member of an New York family of artists. She started as a photography assistant and then turned to acting and modeling. The first two films she made got noticed and earned her an award called the Golden Globe Award of Most promising newcomer. MacGraw was a household name in the year 1970 following her hit movie Love Story. She was nominated for the Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. MacGraw was deemed the top female box-office star of the globe after just three films. The handprints of her signature, as well as footprints were engraved in 1972 at Grauman's Chinese Theater. She also appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, and other films. Her autobiography Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw married three people.
