Lindsey Vonn (born 18 Oct 1984) is a retired American alpine ski champion who won gold in the downhill event at the Winter Olympics 2010. Her second most super score among all skiers, female and male. She is one the greatest and most loved skiers in the history of skiing. Caroline Vonn, also known by her name Lindsey Vonn, is an American World Cup alpine racer who is a member of the US Ski Team. There are 4 overall World Cup victories. It is a professional athlete who has earned her name within American culture. She is one of six women to have won in each event on the World Cup circuit. She won 82 World Cups. An elite skier and one of the most experienced ski racers, she has taken a decision to step down following the World Championships which are taking place in Sweden. Her retirement came after a long list of ailments. The four-time overall World Cup champion made her announcement on social media. In the coming weeks, I'll be competing in my last races of my professional career at the Downhill as well as the SG World Championships in Re Sweden.
